"Wishing on the Same Star" is Namie Amuro's 21st solo single under the Avex Trax label. Released on September 11, 2002, the song was meant to be her last before a hiatus that would have seen her transplanting herself from Tokyo, Japan to New York for the purposes of artist development. As the last of her singles as a pop artist, it is the most commercially successful from the album, ''Style'' (2003). The song is a cover of the 1991 single by freestyle singer Keedy, covered in 1992 in Spanish by Puerto Rican singer Chayanne as "Mi Primer Amor", in 1994 by Australian girl pop group Girlfriend and in 1996 by American dance music singer Judy Cheeks. ==Track listing== # "Wishing on the Same Star" (Diane Warren, kenko-p) – 4:55 # "Did U" (Namie Amuro, A.
